Cristian van Tienhoven

Cristian van Tienhoven currently leads the Business Team for Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) in North America. The team drives and optimize business decisions and initiatives to continue to drive adoption and growth of the FBA service. Previously, Cristian led the Pay with Amazon and Product Ads business units for Amazon in the UK.

Before joining Amazon, Cristian was a Principal at L.E.K. Consulting, focused on growing its Retail & Consumer practice. In this role, he was responsible for leading engagements to solve his clients’ critical strategic issues. Prior to LEK, Cristian was an Assistant Director in the Retail & Consumer team in PwC Strategy, working on providing transactional support for Private Equity and Corporate clients. He led over 30 transaction related engagements, advising clients on commercial and operational issues.

Cristian has worked in a number of start-up ventures. Most recently, he was an advisor to the CEO and founder of Taggstar. Previously, he worked with Stelios at easyGroup, firstly to extend the “easy” brand, then as the Fleet Director at easyCar. In this role, he negotiated with all the key car manufacturers to support an ambitious growth plan in the UK and continental Europe.

Cristian was also a member of the leadership team of Brandfever.com, an online flash sales retailer of discounted excess inventory sports/fashion goods (prior to Vente-Privee/Gilt Groupe). Cristian was also the interim CTO of Quintessentially at its very early start-up phase, responsible for the initial online build for launch.

Cristian started his career at Mitchell Madison Group where he was based in London and New York. He has a Master of Engineering Science from New College, Oxford and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
