George “Trey” Lyons, III is an associate with McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP. Mr. Lyons helps clients protect their intellectual property by providing advice and crafting innovative solutions for building and enforcing patent, trademark, and copyright rights. Prior to joining MBHB, Mr. Lyons graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Law, summa cum laude, before clerking for the Honorable E. Grady Jolly, U.S. Court of Appeal Judge in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Currently, Mr. Lyons serves as a member of the firm’s Business Development Committee and Ethics Committee and as managing editor of snippets, and maintains a strong commitment to helping pro bono, startup, and large-entity clients reach positive results in a variety of intellectual property matters. In his spare time, Mr. Lyons is a vintage instrument collector (particularly early Fender, Gibson, and Martin guitars) and hockey enthusiast.
