Jen Martens

Who is Jen? I'm Jen Martens and I founded ŌMAKA. I grew up in Hamburg and Ghana. I've learned a lot about myself over the last few years - especially through my two small children. They give me so much with their genuine view of the world! What does ŌMAKA mean? I wanted to make a fresh start with ŌMAKA. During my research, my thoughts revolved around... Jason Momoa. Because he's from Hawaii, I looked up what "fresh start" means in his language and I found the word "ho'omaka." I loved the sound! This is how ŌMAKA was born. I tested the name on my son. When he could remember the name, it was clear to me: ŌMAKA was the word that would give shape to my mission and vision. Why did I found ŌMAKA?
