Liam Phillips

Liam's interests first took him to China in 2013, where he studied modern and classical Mandarin before undertaking post-graduate research in medieval China at the University of Oxford. 

His fascination with China brought him back to the country where he began a career in the education industry, before moving into the fast-paced digital marketing industry in Shanghai. 

In 2021 Liam moved back to the UK to co-found the London office of Outlandish Group, with a focus on live commerce and digital marketing in TikTok.

Most recently, Liam joined TikTok at the start of 2023 utilising his experience at Outlandish to manage other external agencies who operate on TikTok Shop.
