Biography
Michelle is a seasoned e-commerce executive and entrepreneur. After starting her career in management consulting at Charles River Associates, she has worked across diverse business models from traditional luxury brands such as Tiffany & Co. to transformational e-commerce companies including flash-sales disrupter Gilt and social retail platform Chloe + Isabel. At conversational commerce and Walmart-backed start-up Jetblack, Michelle led the Merchandising team for its text-message based personal shopping service. In her most recent role as Chief Merchandising Officer at Bespoke Post, Michelle managed the merchandising and buying organization across subscription, e-commerce and private label. Michelle has a broad spectrum of functional expertise including merchandising, planning, marketing, analytics, business development, and inventory life cycle management.
Throughout her career, Michelle has been drawn to businesses not only founded by but also built to empower women. In her first post-MBA role, Michelle had the opportunity to work with Paloma Picasso on her 30th anniversary collection with Tiffany and Co. Paloma’s designs, revered for their imbued meanings and talisman-like effect, have inspired Michelle’s personal jewelry projects. Next, Michelle spent almost four years at Chloe + Isabel, a jewelry brand built to empower the next generation of female entrepreneurs through social communities. She currently serves as an advisor for empowerment-research based jewelry start-up Elia Fulmen.
