Paul Bakker

Paul Bakker started his career at Arthur Andersen and after Andersen's merger with Deloitte continued there with a specialization in indirect tax. He left the Big 4 to become an attorney of law at an international tax and legal firm. In 2014 he became a managing director of Global VAT Compliance. At GVC he leads all consultancy and digital taxation practices.

Paul is a tax litigation teacher at the Leiden University and a regular writer for one of Kluwer's technical VAT magazines (Btw-bulletin). Paul is recognized as one of the leading Indirect Tax advisors in the Netherlands by International Tax Review World Tax.
