Philip Kehela
Co-founder - Mokebo
Biography
Philip Kehela (born 08.07.1991 in Marl) is co-founder of mokebo and is responsible for sales, communication and finance at the company. In April 2018, he founded the Cologne-based interior e-commerce start-up together with his best friend Moritz Messinger. Previously, the graduate economist worked for Amazon for six years, among other things as a product manager.
For the family man, everything actually went according to plan: After starting at Amazon as a dual student, he quickly worked his way up and helped build up the Amazon Marketplace as an account manager. This was followed by further positions at Amazon Music and in Silicon Valley. But despite a secure position in the global corporation, Philip Kehela was always clear: He wanted to start his own business together with his best friend Moritz Messinger and improve a market segment of furniture with fresh approaches from e-commerce: In 2018, the two took the step together into self-employment and founded the furniture brand mokebo, which is sold via its own web store as well as wide-reaching marketplaces such as Otto or Amazon.
